Window Washing

We are consummate professionals when it comes to cleaning windows. We have a breadth of high-tech equipment (brushes, squeegees, ladders, hoses, towels, many pole tools, razor blade scrapers, hard-water deposit remover, ammonia-free cleaning fluid, etc.). We also have extensive knowledge based on years of experience in very large and difficult homes. We are very diligent with our cleaning regimen. Before we clean the window glass, we remove and wash and dry the screens and then wash the tracks and even the window frames. We often spray the windows off with water or even pressure wash prior to cleaning the windows the conventional way with a brush/scrubber and squeegee. After a thorough cleaning, your windows will stay clean longer because we cleaned up the dirt around the window, which would find its way quickly back to the window during rainy or windy weather.

Pressure Washing

We are excellent pressure/power washers. We purchased two new power washers last year. They have built-in detergent reservoirs, allowing us to easily soap down areas before performing the higher pressure "real" power washing. We will apply soap up to three to five times for super dirty areas before doing the higher pressure work. The soap breaks down and loosens the dirt/grime/moss/whatever from the surface, leading to a cleaner surface while not damaging it. There are a lot of power-washing horror stories out there, including unsightly lines in concrete, stones removed from exposed aggregate, holes in stucco, paint removal, etc. Our primary goal is to protect your property while still cleaning it as much as possible without damaging it. Pressure washing this way takes more time and costs more money, but the surface is not damaged and is as clean as possible.

Solar Panel Cleaning

We clean solar panels very carefully. We use a telescoping pole tool with a brush and a water tube with detergent to gently scrub the solar panels to remove dirt, pollen, and other particles. We do not use a power washer to clean solar panels since doing so voids some manufacturer's warranties, and the solar panels do not require high-pressure water to clean them. We have heard varying reports of solar energy conversion efficiency improvement after a thorough cleaning ranging from 15%-30%.

Gutter Cleaning

Since we are primarily window washers, we have an approach to gutter cleaning which keeps the house, windows, and grounds clean. We use a shop vacuum to remove the leaves and debris from the gutters. This method is more time consuming than simply blowing the leaves, needles, and debris off the roof and onto the house and grounds. We do blow off areas with excessive leaves and needles or recommend that a gardener first blows off the leaves and then cleans up the grounds before we clean all the gutters. The problem with cleaning gutters is that they have a lot more than leaves in them: they have dirt, roof debris, branches, nails, and much more. And one does not want this stuff on the house and grounds. So we throw it in the garden waste, recycling or garbage bins. We can also haul some of the debris away, but we have limited capacity.
